Description in English: Sampling campaigns are organised two times a year, one in spring and one in autumn on a number of stations spread over the Belgian Continental Shelf. The macrobenthos is sampled with a Van Veen grab with a sampling surface of 0.1m². After fixation the samples are sieved on a 1 mm sieve and sorted in the lab, identified, counted and wheighed. The used parameters are density, species richness and diversity.
Description in nl: Alle staalnames gebeuren tweemaal per jaar, in het voor- en najaar op een aantal stations verspreid over het Belgisch Continentaal Plat. Het macrobenthos wordt bemonsterd met een Van Veen grijper met een staalname oppervlakte van 0.1m², na fixatie gezeefd op een 1mm zeef en in het labo gesorteerd, gedetermineerd, geteld en gewogen. De gebruikte parameters zijn densiteit, soortenrijkdom en diversiteit.
