Each series of samples is accommodated in a batch, and thereby is a metadata part with a description of each sample (specimen lab, field sample, location, time, ...). Not only the metadata of the samples will be stored in the LIMS. Also, the final measurement data resulting from the analyzes requested are stored in the LIMS and are reported to the scientist that way.
