The initial coverage for Flanders has been realized between 2001 and 2005.","EngDescr":null,"OrigAbstract":null,"OrigDescr":"Het initiatief tot het beschikbaar maken van deze dataset werd genomen eind 2001, door het Agentschap voor Geografische Informatie Vlaanderen en de Vlaamse provincies. In functie van de kandidatuurstelling van de provincies werd een gefaseerde realisatie voor Vlaanderen uitgewerkt als volgt:\r\n\r\n·         In 2002 tot 2003: de aanmaak van de orthofotobedekking voor de provincies Oost-Vlaanderen en Vlaams-Brabant (inclusief Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest)\r\n\r\n·         In 2003 tot 2004: de aanmaak van de orthofotobedekking voor de provincies Antwerpen en Limburg\r\n\r\n·         In 2004 tot 2005: de aanmaak van de orthofotobedekking voor de provincie West-Vlaanderen\r\n\r\nEen orthofotobedekking geeft  een momentopname van het grondgebied weer . De gebruikswaarde neemt dus af met de tijd, daarom wordt tevens voorzien in een actualisatie van dit bestand om de 3 à 5 jaar.\r\n \r\nDe aanmaak van een orthofotobedekking verloopt per provincie in een vier stappen namelijk : ten eerste de realisatie van fotografische luchtopnamen in kleur op schaal 1/12.000, ten tweede het scannen aan hoge resolutie van de originele filmrollen,  ten derde feitelijke othofotoproductie (orthoprectificatie en mozaïekering) en ten vierde de distributie van de eindproducten (per gemeente en per kaartbladen) naar de gebruikers toe. \r\n\r\nMomenteel zijn de orthofoto’s van de provincies Oost-Vlaanderen, Vlaams-Brabant, Antwerpen en Limburg afgewerkt en beschikbaar voor distributie. De aanmaak van een orthofotobedekking voor West-Vlaanderen werd verschoven naar begin 2005.
