- All data from the FerryBox cruises are stored in a database that can be reached from the internet.
Output in graphical from istfree for the public.
There are 5 different graphical formats:
- Transect Plot I: Here you can view one or more measured parameters from a single ferry transect.
- Transect Plot II: Here you can view one parameters from multiple transects.
- Time Series Plot: Here you choose alocation on a ferry transect and get all data (one or multiple parameters) for each time when the ferry crossed this spott (time series for this location).
- Scatter Plot: Here you can have an overview on multiple transects arranged in a column: On the x-axis the transect (distance) and on the y-axis the time (weeks, months) are depicted. The data itself are presented as colour-coded 'dots".
- Map Plot: On this type of plot a map with the ferry transect is presented. Its color represents the measured data.
In this data base the following ferry transects are stored:
A) Cuxhaven-Harwich ('old route' until 2005)
B) Cuxhaven-Immingham ('new' route since 2006)
C) Büsum-Helgoland ('new route') since July 2008
D) Germany-England-Norway (Route on 'Lysbris' which has been suspende and will start again in autumn 2008 - Abstract in English
- Ferryboxes are used on ships of opportunity and collect physical data. All data from the FerryBox cruises are stored in a database that can be reached from the internet. Output in graphical form is free for the public.
