Most cetacean bycatches on the record concurred with fishing seasons for Black Sea turbot and spiny dogfish and were registered in fishing areas near Evpatoria (western Crimea), Sevastopol-Balaklava (southwestern Crimea) and Feodosia (southeastern Crimea). More than 99% of the bycatches were lethal.
