The Working Group O & M is a permanent working group of the Flemish-Dutch Scheldt Commission (VNSC) which have an agreement ​​on a long-term monitoring and research program to support the cross-border cooperation in policy and management in the Scheldt estuary: MONEOS. Within MONEOS, existing monitoring campaigns from NL and B are refined and merged as new measurement campaigns. The data is divided in 6 themes.\r\n\r\nThis theme contains all data about ecological functionning of the Scheldt Estuary.","EngDescr":null,"OrigAbstract":"In het kader van de Langetermijnvisie Schelde-estuarium (LTV) werd door de Vlaamse en Nederlandse overheid een werkgroep rond onderzoek en monitoring van het Schelde-estuarium opgezet. De werkgroep O&M is een permanente werkgroep van de Vlaams Nederlandse Scheldecommissie (VNSC) waarin afspraak is gemaakt over een langlopend monitoring- en onderzoeksprogramma ter ondersteuning van de grensoverschrijdende samenwerking bij beleid en beheer in het Schelde-estuarium: MONEOS. Binnen MONEOS werden zowel bestaande monitoringscampagnes uit NL en B verfijnd als nieuwe meetcampagnes opgezet. De data worden in 6 thema’s ontsloten.\r\n\r\nDit thema bevat data over het ecologisch functionneren van het Schelde-estuarium.","OrigDescr":"Een systeem, en het estuariene systeem in het bijzonder, wordt gekarakteriseerd door verschillende dimensies, die meespelen, en waarmee rekening dient te worden gehouden bij evaluatie. Uiteraard gaat het hier uiteindelijk om een systeem evaluatie, waar het gehele Schelde systeem als geheel dient te worden geëvalueerd. Met betrekking tot de schaal component kan dus worden gesteld dat evaluatie plaats vindt voor het gehele Schelde estuarium. Echter, om het functioneren te kunnen begrijpen en/of om inzicht te krijgen in het gehele functioneren van het systeem, is het geregeld noodzakelijk om op verschillende zones en/of locaties in te zoomen, en te beoordelen of evalueren of het functioneren of de kwaliteit al daar in orde is.\r\n\r\nEen systeem evaluatie tracht alle voorkomende en ter zaken doende componenten, processen, veranderingen en schalen te omvatten. Met name de veranderingen die kunnen optreden door toedoen van de mens (zowel positief als negatief, denkende aan systeembeheer en effecten van gebruikersfuncties), dienen te worden opgemerkt en te worden geëvalueerd. We zijn bij de ontwikkeling van de evaluatie methodiek dan ook uit gegaan van relatief eenvoudig te meten en/of te berekenen indicatoren die idealiter wijzen in één richting (duidelijk aanwijsbare oorzaak bij verandering).
