In march 1980 the Spuikom was drained for three weeks. From 28/03 the Spuikom was filled again with North Sea water through the harbour and after that cut off again. A recolonization of the sandsediment took place in the eastern part of the Spuikom. This study investigates the speed of the recolonization and which species follow each other in time.
