FishBase is supported and supervised by a consortium of currently 8 international institutes and organizations (see www.fishbase.org/home.htm). Data encoding and programming is done mostly by a group of specialists in the Philippines. However, there are also over 1000 partners all over the world who contribute photos and data and check entries for accuracy.
