RUG: Gent. 56 pp.","EngDescr":"Biotic samples were taken using cores of diameter 3.6 cm for meiofaunal analysis.\r\nThis was done to a depth of about 20 cm. Soon after sampling the sediment was sectioned\r\ninto four slices of 0-2 cm, 2-4 cm, 4-10 cm and 10-r cm.\r\nFifteen taxa were observed with most of them occurring in relatively low numbers (<1 % of the count). Nematoda was the dominant taxon (76-98 %). They were followed by oligochaetes, turbellarians, halacaroids and rotifers. Harpacticoid copepods, polychaetes and other taxa were rather insignificant with notable absence in some sample months.
