- title in English
- Fishing with motorized boats in the Belgian littoral area in 1932
- Description in English
- Study on the influence of wind-driven to motorized fishing boats on the destruction of young fish living in the Belgian littoral area. The fishing in the littoral area of the coast of Belgium has undergone a profound transformation since the publication in 1928. Before, it was practiced almost exclusively by sail - but today, the entire fleet of small boats is equipped with motors. Two unforeseen factors have aggravated the destruction of marine fish: the reduction in size and the use of organic materials by the industry.
- Abstract in English
- Measurements and counts of fish caught by motorized boats in May 1932. The data were digitized by VLIZ from the original report: Gilson, G. (1932).
