Comment: 1) The sampled Caridea, Anomura, Brachyura were all stages in the development prior to becoming an adult (the adult species of these taxa are not caught with the hyperbenthic sledge and do not belong to the hyperbenthos). The fish species that were sampled were demersal fishes or early development stages (this fraction of demersal fishes is not sampled efficiently with the hyperbenthic sledge). Other taxa were caught as well but not efficiently or weren't considered as belonging to the hyperbenthos (e.g. Polychaeta).
2). This dataset is a collection of historical data that were collected through different research projects. Therefore not all stations (all located in the Westerschelde) were sampled at the same time. This is represented by combining the parameter "Hyperbenthos sampling" to the different dates and the different locations.
