During this detailed study of the algal vegetation of the Zeebrugge pier in 1977-78, 45 taxa were identified, of which 4 Cyanophycea, 18 Chlorophycea, 8 Phaeophycea and 15 Rhodophycea.

Species list with remarks on the frequency of occurrence and ecology of the species for the pier of Zeebrugge in 1977 and 1978. The data were digitized by VLIZ from the original report: De Vos, D.; Coppejans, E. (1980). Recente inventaris van de benthische wieren (Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta, Phaeophyta, Rhodophyta) van de pier van Zeebrugge = Inventaire récent des algues benthiques (Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta, Phaeophyta, Rhodophyta) du môle de Zeebrugge.
