This will update the well-known and useful but largely outdated Hedgpeth 1969’s Folio on “Distribution of selected groups of marine invertebrates in waters south of 35°S latitude” in the Antarctic Map Folio Series (American Geographical Society). Species records of tintinnids from the Southern Ocean (locations below 40°S) reported in 56 publications published between 1800 and 2013 were compiled yielding about 2,000 species records (synonyms included) from about 400 locations.
