It consists of 206849 observations of 28 variables. It is derived from a full version of WoRMS from 2020-01-11, filtered to Kingdom Animalia and restricted to valid taxa at species level or below, with the flag is Marine = TRUE. This list is supplemented with summary information from the links stored within WoRMS for each species: number of occurrence records in OBIS, number of nucleotide sequences in GenBank, number of DNA barcodes in BOLD, and IUCN assessment status. Taxonomic information is also included, as is information on the functional group of each species, derived from WoRMS attributes.
