Three resource (bacteria) diversity levels (low, medium, high) were used as food treatments. Twenty-five marine bacterial strains were used for the food diversity treatments, which were selected because they were found to be part of the microbiome sensu lato of specimens of at least one cryptic species of <i>L. marina</i> in the field.
