This project addresses the significant knowledge gap on blue shark (Prionace glauca) movements and habitat use in the Bay of Biscay. Additionally, we aim to address the scarcity of acoustic receivers in this area within the ETN. By tracking blue sharks tagged within the bay, we aim to gather essential data on their spatial distribution and habitat utilization. This research is part of a broader collaborative effort within multiple projects, providing insights into blue shark behavior and supporting conservation strategies tailored to their needs in this region. Results will inform sustainable management and protection measures for blue shark populations in the Northeast Atlantic.
