Para esto, se tomaron fotograf\u00edas del sustrato, se seleccionaron entre 1 y 2 colonias de corales masivos morfol\u00f3gicamente contrastantes seg\u00fan su tipo de organizaci\u00f3n colonial (meandroide, plocoide y cerioide), que tuvieran bordes de interacci\u00f3n activa con c\u00e9spedes algales y sobre estas interacciones, se estim\u00f3 la diversidad y la redundancia funcional de herb\u00edvoros y macroalgas, se realizaron censos visuales de peces y macroinvertebrados en 3 puntos del arrecife utilizando el m\u00e9todo de tipo estacionario y se realizaron anotaciones sobre la riqueza de especies\/g\u00e9neros, abundancia, tama\u00f1o y estadio de vida de los peces herb\u00edvoros pertenecientes a las familias Acanthuridae, Labridae-Scarinae, Ephippidae y Kyphosidae. Para el caso de los macroinvertebrados m\u00f3viles, se buscaron ejemplares de Echinoideos y del crust\u00e1ceo Maguimithrax sp.&nbsp;<\/p>","OrigDescr":"<p>Se identific\u00f3 la presencia de 39 especies de corales p\u00e9treos y 4 especies de hidrocorales. Las especies que se encontraron en m\u00e1s del 50 % de las estaciones fueron: Agaricia agaricites, Favia fragum, Madracis decactis, Montastraea cavernosa, Orbicella annularis, Orbicella faveolata, Porites astraeoides, Porites porites, Pseudodiploria strigosa, Siderastrea siderea y Millepora alcicornis. Se encontraron 100 colonias afectadas por 9 signos asociados con enfermedades coralinas. Estos signos afectaron a 11 especies de corales p\u00e9treos y una especie de coral blando. Las especies que registraron mayor n\u00famero de casos fueron O. annularis (31 %), S. siderea (21 %) y P. strigosa (19 %).
