- Thomas More, as a member of the Assiociation KULeuven is one of the biggest University Colleges of the Province of Antwerp. With more than 100 Professional Bachelor degrees and several KULeuven degrees on their campuses, Thomas More is a reference for high quality education en excellent research. In the scope of this group, especially the reseach in Algae growth is important. In Collaboration with VITO at our campus in Geel, currently four brand-new algae photobioreactors are being built. In these reactors research will be conducted towards the optimal growth and harvesting of algae.

- Thomas More is als lid van de Associatie KULeuven een van de grootste Hogescholen van de Provincie Antwerpen. Met meer dan 100 opleidingen in de professionele Bachelor en tal van KULeuven opleidingen op de campus staat Thomas More garant voor kwalitatief hoger onderwijs en uitmuntend onderzoek en dienstverlening naar de maatschappij. In het kader van Mariene Biotechnologie in Vlaanderen, is het vooral het onderzoek rond algenkweek dat van belang is. In samenwerking met het VITO wordt op de campus in Geel momenteel 4 gloednieuwe algenfotobioreactoren gebouwd waarin onderzoek zal worden gevoerd naar de optimale kweek en oogst-condities voor de algenkweek.
