Members of the group have an extensive list of\r\npublications in leading coastal science and engineering journals and serve on the editorial board of\r\nseveral of the two most prestigious ones. In addition, members regularly serve on the scientific\r\ncommittees of international conferences. Besides research grants from several national sources, the\r\nmain funding over the last years have been from the EU and US Army Corps of Engineers. The group\r\nhas established a close collaboration with several leading coastal research organisations throughout the\r\nworld, e.g., Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory, US Army Engineer Research and Development Center,\r\nUSA; University of Tokyo, Japan; University of Tsukuba, Japan; Technical University of\r\nBraunschweig, Germany; and University of Granada, Spain. Group members are and have been\r\ninvolved in several EU projects over the years (BASYS, SAFE, PACE, HUMOR, and FLOODsite).\r\nThe group has been working with coastal model development over the last 25 years. Since 1985, this\r\nwork has been performed in close cooperation with US Army Corps of Engineers. The shoreline\r\nevolution model GENESIS, the profile evolution model SBEACH, and the longshore current model\r\nNMLONG were all developed at ULU. These models are considered as state-of-the-art within their\r\nrespective domains and are officially adopted as Corps of Engineer models. As such they are being\r\nused by hundreds of researchers, consultants, and managers around the world to analyse and solve\r\nprototype engineering problems.","AbstractOtherLang":null,"AbstractLangCode":null,"AbstractLangID":null,"AbstractLang":null,"AbstractLangNL":null,"SuccessorOfInsID":null,"DateLastModified":{"date":"2024-06-04 01:34:19.073000","timezone_type":1,"timezone":"+00:00"},"PrevIns":null,"PrevAcro":null,"PublicFlag":1,"CheckedFlag":0,"ParID":5574,"InstituteType":null,"EnvName":"Sweden","ISO3166":"SE","LevelName":null,"ND":"2006-01-27","UD":"2006-01-27","EncAddress":", Box 118, 221 00 Lund, Sweden"},"parent":{"PublicFlag":1,"InsID":5574,"OrigNameLangCode":"sv","OrigNameLangID":53,"FullStandardName":"Lund University","FullOrigName":"Lunds Universitet","Acronym":null},"institutes":null,"references":[],"conferences":null,"datasets":null,"persons":[{"PersID":11188,"Surname":"Hanson","Firstname":"Hans","Initials":"H.","DirectorFlag":null,"MarineSciFlag":null,"SpecializedFlag":null,"Function":"Coordinator SENCORE"},{"PersID":12526,"Surname":"Larson","Firstname":"Magnus","Initials":"M.","DirectorFlag":null,"MarineSciFlag":null,"SpecializedFlag":null,"Function":null}],"pastpers":null,"subpers":null,"projects":[{"ProID":1733,"Acronym":"ENCORA","Progress":"Completed","StandardTitle":"European platform for coastal research: coordination action"}],"urls":[{"URL":"aqua.tvrl.lth.se","externalID":null,"URLTypeCode":null,"URLType":"Institute home page"}],"pictures":[],"published":null,"affrefs":null,"collections":null,"thesterms":null,"taxterms":null,"geoterms":null,"thestermsFRIS":null,"nXtins":null,"previns":null,"spcols":[{"SpColID":269,"SpName":"ENCORA"}],"resmessage":"","complete":1,"participantrec":null,"peerrevs":0,"urlmaps":[]}
