The CRC is not a separate research institute, but is very much embedded in the structure and functioning of the Society. We are part of a larger department of Research and Product Development, which also includes zoology (including nature reserve “De Zegge”), education, veterinary services, and development projects. Research is concentrated on four disciplines: Ethology, Functional Morphology, Veterinary Medicine and Conservation Biology. Each discipline has its own coordinator, who is responsible for the research projects within the discipline and for supervision of students and postdocs.

Het CRC is geen gescheiden onderzoeksinstituut maar is verankerd in de de structuur van de Koninklijke Maatschappij voor Dierkunde van Antwerpen. Het CRC is deel van het departement voor Onderzoek en Productontwikkeling waaronder zoölogie valt (ondermeer het natuurreservaat de Zegge), educatie, dierengeneeskunde en ontwikkelingsprojecten. Het onderzoek focust op vier disciplines: Ethologie, Functionele Morfologie, Dierengeneeskunde en Conservatiebiologie. Elke discipline heeft een eigen coördinator die verantwoordelijk is voor de onderzoeksprojecten binnen elke discipline en toekijkt op de begeleiding van de studenten en de postdocs.
