Box 2208","Line3":"71409 Heraklion Crete","Line4":null,"Phone":"+30-(0)2810-32 43 66","GSM":null,"Email":null,"Lat":"35.2941663","Lon":"25.1637588","OrigNameLang":null,"OrigNameLangNL":null,"AbstractEnglish":"<b>The Museum</b>\r\n<u>The framework and the Objectives</u>\r\nNatural History Museum of Crete has been functioning and operates under the framework of the University of Crete since 1980, being a pioneer institute at national and European level in the following activities:\r\n<ul type=disc>\r\n<li>Study and Management of the Natural Environment of Crete\r\n<li>Public awareness, education and sensitisation of local people as well as the visitors of the area\r\n<li>Link University activities with Cretan society\r\n<li>Set up a network of Ecological Museums in Greece and throughout the Eastern Mediterranean\r\n</li></ul type=disc>\r\n<i>Eastern Mediterranean is unique at a global level due to the great ecological and cultural complexity.
