In the past, I have been and editor and/or on the editorial boards of several taxonomic peer-reviewed journals. I have previous experience on several committees related to online resources, e.g. the Advisory Committee of the Australian Biological Resources Study (ABRS), including the Australian Faunal Directory (AFD) and I was a former chair of the Management Committee of the Alas of Living Australia (ALA) and have been member of the ALA Steering Committee. I have now retired from my administrative employment as Head of the Biodiversity & Geosciences Program at the Queensland Museum, Brisbane, which included a role overseeing the digital delivery of the Museum’s collection data and images to the public, and I have now returned to researching and publishing on the taxonomy of Porifera as an Honorary Associate of the Board of the Queensland Museum.
