Over the years, she has participated in several international research projects and initiatives, as IODP, ANDEEP, DIVA. She is a member of diverse national and international networks involving the extinct and extant biodiversity research, the Ocean Sensus, Census of Marine Life, Taxonomic Catalog of the Fauna of Brazil. Within WoRMS, she represents ethnic and regional  (global south) diversity. She is a member of the WoRMS Steering Committee. She is the chief taxonomic editor for Ostracoda in WoRMS and the World Ostracoda Database.
