- Jan-Joost Schouten, has been involved in the advanced research programs funded by Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat), named SBW and WINN. The main subjects of the research and projects have been analyses of tidal flow, flow around offshore and coastal structures, non-hydrostatic flows, sediment transport and morphology, wave-current interaction, propagation of waves, shoreline development, determination of (extreme) met-ocean conditions and operational modelling systems to support offshore wind operations.
