- Prof. Andrzej Sawicki has authored or co-authored over 100 peer-refereed journal papers and over 100 articles published in engineering journals and conference proceedings. He is also the author of 6 books. His research experience deals with: structural mechanics, civil and marine engineering, geomechanics (mechanics of reinforced soil, mechanics of soil liquefaction, constitutive modeling of soils, interactions between the soil, structure and water), mechanics of materials and composites. He was actively involved in LIMAS project, and supervised, as director of the Institute, activities of colleagues involved in many other EU projects. He received the award of the Polish Prime Minister for outstanding research achievements.
