To implement the law on the protection of the marine environment in the marine areas under Belgian jurisdiction, several royal decrees have to be drafted, in particular implementing art. 8 (iii) (limitation of shipping in marine protected areas) and art. 10, § 1 and 2, 13 and 14 (protection of species). This study was made by instruction of the Ministry for Social Affairs, Health and Environment.

In uitvoering van het wetsontwerp ter bescherming van het mariene milieu in de zeegebieden onder de rechtsbevoegdheid van België, worden diverse voorontwerpen van koninklijke besluiten voorzien, in het bijzonder ter uitvoering van art. 8 (iii) van het wetsontwerp (beperking van de scheepvaart in de mariene beschermde gebieden) en van de artikelen 10,1 en 2, 13 en 14 (soortenbescherming). Voorts wordt advies gegeven over de door het kabinet opgestelde voorontwerpen van koninklijke besluiten.
