In Kruibeke they monitor the influence of pollution in flooding areas, whereas in Wilrijk the influence of the tide on the increase of sheer is assessed. The input of contaminants is monitored as well. In Lippenbroek the development of vegetation is followed and related  to the environmental conditions.","AbstractOtherLang":"Deze studie maakt het 8ste perceel uit van het \"Onderzoek naar de gevolgen van het Sigmaplan, baggeractiviteiten en havenuitbreiding in de Zeeschelde op het milieu\".\r\n\r\nHet deelproject volgt de ontwikkelingen in twee mesocosmos-opstellingen en in het Lippenbroek op: een mesocosmos-opstelling staat in Kruibeke, een tweede op de UIA-campus in Wilrijk. In kruibeke wordt de invloed van verontreiniging op overstromingsgebieden bestudeerd, terwijl in Wilrijk de invloed van het getij op de groei van riet  wordt ingeschat. De aanvoer van contaminanten wordt evneens gevolgd.
