This study is the seventh component of the ‘Research on the environmental effects of the SIGMA plan: Effects of dredgings and harbour expansion on the environment’ The existing database will be evaluated and further developed to a usable tool combining all data on the Flemish Estuarine Research of the Sea Scheldt. A user-friendly interface will enhance the search and export of the data. These tools will improve the accessibility to data for a broader scientific spectrum.

Deze studie maakt het 7de perceel uit van het "Onderzoek naar de gevolgen van het Sigmaplan, baggeractiviteiten en havenuitbreiding in de Zeeschelde op het milieu". De bestaande OMES databank zal worden uitgebouwd tot een instrument dat alle data van het Vlaams Estuarien Onderzoek rond de Zeeschelde bundelt. De database wordt voorzien van een gebruiksvriendelijke interface die selectie en levering van data op eenvoudige manier moet toelaten. Op die manier zal de toegankelijkheid van de data voor de wetenschappelijk omgeving verbeterd worden.
