Quantitative analysis of the morphological and sedimentary evolution of coastlines. Methodologies based on remote sensing of data (aerial and via satellite using optical sensors and LIDAR), validated by singlebeam and multibeam bathymetric systems and video cameras with high spatial and temporal resolution, will be developed to deal with data gathering.

Analisi quantitativa dell’evoluzione morfologica e sedimentologica dei litorali. Al fine di risolvere l’esigenza di monitorare l’evoluzione delle coste su scala regionale e di valutare l’efficacia delle opere locali, si svilupperanno metodologie basate sul telerilevamento dei dati (aerei e satellitari con sensori ottici e LIDAR), convalidati da sistemi di batimetria singlebeam e multibeam e da telecamere ad alta risoluzione spaziale e temporale per l’acquisizione dei dati.
