In these contexts, the research results must result as being useful to the public administrations that safeguard the sustainable development of the areas in question, which are both on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. In Boka Kotorska Bay, a demonstrative action will perform the collation of samples of different environmental matrices and the analysis of chemical parameters, discussing their influence on the ecosystem in the comparison with analogous measurements already taken in Venice Lagoon. The distribution of the main pollutants will be defined, in order to prepare an operational protocol that is able, through repeated future measurements, to check the environmental impact of anthropic activities. The updating and standardization of the methods will produce a consolidation of the scientific networks and at the same time will provide the local authorities with useful tools for the integrated management of the coastal waters. The results of this project will strengthen the scientific collaboration between the bodies involved and will contribute to the development of tourism, fishing and water culture. Furthermore, the many opportunities for the training of young researchers in an international context are ideal occasions for youth integration.","AbstractOtherLang":"Lo scopo di COWAMA è l’armonizzazione dei sistemi di controllo della qualità ambientale in aree costiere di pregio ambientale, attraverso il rafforzamento della ricerca applicata che fa capo alla Laguna di Venezia ed alla Boka Kotorska Bay (Montenegro). In tali contesti, i risultati delle ricerche devono risultare utilizzabili dalle amministrazioni pubbliche che tutelano lo sviluppo sostenibile delle aree in questione, che sono entrambe nella lista “World Heritage” dell’UNESCO. Un’azione dimostrativa effettuerà, nella Boka Kotorska Bay, la raccolta di campioni di diverse matrici ambientali e l’analisi di parametri chimici, discutendo la loro influenza sull’ecosistema, nel confronto con analoghe misurazioni già effettuate nella Laguna di Venezia. Verrà determinata la distribuzione dei principali inquinanti, al fine di predisporre un protocollo operativo che sia in grado, attraverso ripetute misure future, di controllare l’impatto ambientale delle attività antropiche. L’aggiornamento e la standardizzazione delle metodiche produrrà un consolidamento delle reti scientifiche ed offrirà nel contempo alle autorità locali strumenti utili per la gestione integrata delle acque costiere. I risultati di questo progetto rafforzeranno la collaborazione scientifica tra gli enti coinvolti e contribuiranno al fine di sviluppare turismo, pesca e acquicoltura.
