This request fits within the framework of a study dealing with the bioavailability and ecotoxicological effects of heavin metals for different biota. The following objectives are being put forward : 1) the identification and the determination of the relative importance of the modifying factors influencing metal toxicity. 2) the determination of adaptation-, tolerance limits of different biota for essential metals (Cu, Zn,..3) establishment of dose effect relationships (critical body concentrations) of different metals for different types of biota.

Deze aanvraag kadert in een studie naar de biobeschikbaarheid en exotoxicologische effecten van zware metalen voor diverse biota. De volgende objectieven worden hierbij beoogd : 1) de identificatie en de bepaling van het relatief belang van modificerende factoren die de metaaltoxiciteit beïnvloeden; 2) de bepaling van de adaptie-, tolerantiegrenzen van organismen voor essentiële metalen (zoals Cu, Zn,); 3) de bepaling van dosis-effect relaties (onder de vorm van kritische lichaamconcentraties) van de verschillende metalen voor diverse biota.
