- Two European beaches are investigated regarding: the population dynamics of the macrofauna and the meiofauna; effects of disturbance on these beaches are evaluated (lab- and field experimental work). The Belgian West coast and the Polish coast (Hel) are the investigated biotopes. Collaboration is present with the Institute of Oceanology in Sopot, Poland.

- Twee Europese zandstranden zullen onderzocht worden voor wat betreft: populatiedynamica van de macro- en meiofauna; effecten van verstoring op deze stranden (zowel lab- als veld-experimenteel). Hierbij wordt de Belgische Westkust en de Poolse kust in de buurt van Hel als type biotopen geselecteerd. Samenwerking met het Institute of Oceanology in Sopot, Polen.
