{"projectrec":{"ProID":4291,"StandardTitle":"Ecosystem Models as Support to Eutrophication Management in the North Atlantic Ocean","OrigTitle":null,"Acronym":"EMoSEM","AbstractEnglish":"Concretely the objectives are:\r\n<yl type=disc>\r\n<li>Suggest innovative ecological indicators to account for HABs in the GES definition.\r\n<li>Estimate the needs to reach GES in all marine areas (distance-to-target requirement, DTTR).\r\n<li>Identify “realistic” scenarios of nutrient reduction in the river watersheds of NEA.\r\n<li>Assess the impact of the “realistic” scenarios in the sea, and compare to DTTR.\r\n</li></ul type=disc>","AbstractOtherLang":"Doel van dit project is om modellen te ontwikkelen die de overgang rivier-oceaan in het noordoostelijk deel van de Atlantische oceaan beschrijven.\r\n\r\nHiermee willen we:\r\n<ul type=disc>\r\n<li>innovatieve ecologische indicatoren voorstellen die verantwoordelijk zijn voor schadelijke algenbloei en hiermee de huidige staat van eutrofiëring in verschillende kustzones beoordelen;\r\n<li>de Good Environmental Status (GES) doelen inschatten;\r\n<li>de schade door eutrofiëring in specifieke mariene gebieden koppelen aan menselijke input en de bronnen in de waterlopen opsporen;\r\n<li>de realistische impact van nutriënt-reducerende scenario’s op eutrofiëring op zee testen (landbouwpraktijken, afvalwaterbehandeling…) en hun efficiëntie schatten door ze met de GES-doelen te vergelijken.\r\n</li></ul type=disc>\r\nHet ultieme doel is om beleidsmakers te helpen om goede maatregelen te nemen, zodat de menselijke nutriënten-input vermindert en de eutrofiëring op zee ook.\r\n\r\nEMoSEM wordt gefinancierd door het Franse onderzoeksagentschap ANR en ons Federaal Wetenschapsbeleid BELSPO in het kader van het Europese programma EU-FP7 ERA-NET Seas-era. Dit 2 jaar durende project zal het wetenschappelijk onderzoek op Europees niveau versterken om de Kaderrichtlijn Mariene Strategie te volgen.
