- AQUA-LIT aims to provide a sustainable toolbox of innovative ideas and methodologies to - prevent marine littering from aquaculture activities - have better monitoring schemes in place, and - remove and recycle litter from the aquaculture facilities both before litter enters the sea and for litter already existing at sea.

- AQUA-LIT voorziet de aquacultuursector van een toolbox om afval op 3 manieren te beperken: preventie en reductie, monitoring en kwantificatie, en verwijderen en recyclage. Verder evalueert AQUA-LIT de huidige beleidsaanbevelingen en levert het project nieuwe maatregelen of aanbevelingen aan voor betere besluitvorming in de aquacultuursector.
