    {"projectrec":{"ProID":5423,"StandardTitle":"On the accurate resolution of hydraulic jumps in OpenFOAM","OrigTitle":null,"Acronym":null,"AbstractEnglish":"<p>The present study explores the validity of the available modelling techniques for the study of two-phase flow standing waves between incompressible immiscible fluids, specifically air and water, using OpenFOAM™. In previous projects, consultancy firms have had troubles resolving hydraulic jumps using OpenFOAM™. &nbsp;To that end, numerical simulation campaigns will be conducted and validated against experimental studies on hydraulic jumps made by WL. The present project will:</p><ul><li>Assess the available CFD tools within KUSTWATCON (namely OpenFOAM™), for the simulation of two-phase flows of interest in Environmental Engineering, using available EFD data.
