BERGER.\r\n\r\nHet voortgezette onderzoek zal worden gecentreerd rond drie thema's. \r\n\r\nHet eerste heeft betrekking op:\r\n\r\n- de studie van de verschillende vormen van de turbulente sluiting (turbulent closure), van de simpelste tot de K-E sluiting,\r\n\r\n- de keuze van de vormen, dewelke het beste aangepast zijn aan de tijdschalen van het globaal oceaancirculatiemodel,\r\n\r\n- hun implementatie in het globaal oceaancirculatiemodel,\r\n\r\n- het naar voor brengen van hun invloed op de circulaties, die met behulp van het model verkregen zijn.\r\n\r\nDe twee andere thema's betreffen de randvoorwaarden, die moeten worden ingevoerdaan het oppervlak en op de bodem. Aan het oppervlak betreft het, het parametriseren van de uitwisselingen tussen de oceaan en de atmosfeer, welke op klimatologische schaal tussenkomen, en het verlenen van hulp bij de voorbereiding van de koppeling tussen het oceaanmodel en het atmosferische model. Op de bodem van de oceaan moet enerzijds de geschikte randvoorwaarde gekozen worden, waarbij rekening wordt gehouden met de weerhouden vertikale resolutie.
