On the other hand the parameters will be derived from the calibration of mathematical models. In these two different cases models will simulate the density dependent flow so that the fresh water head and salt content can be compared at different scales. This would enable one to evaluate the effects of the expected sea level rise more precisely (diminishing of fresh water stocks, shifting of the salt-fresh water border,.).","AbstractOtherLang":"Het project houdt enerzijds het afleiden van modelparameters uit de lithostratigrafie en geofysische boorgatmetingen in, anderzijds het afleiden van deze parameters door het ijken van mathematische modellen. Door parameters in te voeren in modellen die de dichtheidsafhankelijke stroming simuleren, kan men de evolutie van zoet water stijghoogte en zoutgehalte in de twee gevallen met elkaar vergelijken op verschillende schalen.
