In profiles from the coast to the interior, starting from Nantes, Santiago de Compostela, Naples and Heraklion, the decreasing effect of seasalt on limestone monuments will be evaluated, via measurements of atmospheric seasalt deposition, salt content in weathering crusts and physical characteristics of the stone. Laboratory simulations will be carried out. The efficiency of protecting agents will be studied.

In profielen vanaf de kust landinwaarts, vanaf Nantes, Santiago de Compostela, Napels en Heraklion, zal het effect van zeezout op kalksteen monumenten worden onderzocht, via metingen van atmosferische zeezout depositie, zoutconcentraties in het steenoppervlak en fysische karakteristieken. Laboratoriumsimulaties worden uitgevoerd. De efficientie van beschermingsmiddelen wordt onderzocht.
