  1. Contribute to the characterisation of the diversity, structure and dynamics of the microbentos in intertidal sediments of the Zeeschelde and \r\n
  2. to identify important biological interactions in the microbial food web. The research will be done in a number of stations along the transect Bath to Gent. The temporal dynamics of the microbentos will be studied in detail in Appels, where within the framework of the OMES-project measurements of other important factors of the ecosystem have been monitored.\r\n

  1. De karakteristiek van de diversiteit, structuur en dynamiek van het microbentoss in intertidale sedimenten van de Zeeschelde en \r\n
  2. de identificatie van belangrijke biologische interacties in het microbiële voedselweb. Het onderzoek zal uitgevoerd worden in een aantal stations gespreid langs het traject Bath tot Gent. De temporele dynamiek van het microbentoss zal meer specifiek bestudeerd worden in Appels, waar in het kader van het OMES-project intensieve metingen werden verricht van andere belangrijke parameters van het ecosysteem.\r\n
