This data are first used to assess the risks of oil pollution on seabirds and secondly the distribution is linked with food availability and abiotic factors The former Institute for Nature Conservation was a partner in this project

Aan de hand van tellingen vanop schepen en vanuit de lucht wordt de verspreiding van zeevogels bestudeerd in relatie tot de evolutie van de Europese populaties en het voedselaanbod. In eerste instantie wordt de verspreiding nagegaan om de risico's van stookolievervuiling te kunnen beoordelen. In tweede instantie wordt het voorkomen gerelateerd aan voedsel en abiotische faktoren. Het voormalige Instituut voor Natuurbehoud was een partner in dit project.
