The species found exhibit a broad geographical distribution, mainly centred in the northern Atlantic Ocean. <i>Trichostemma sarsi</i> and <i>Hyalonema thomsoni</i> are recorded for the first time in the Mediterranean Sea, and the known bathymetric distribution of <i>Polymastia tissieri</i> has been considerably enlarged.
