No concurrent medication was given. Exposure to high concentrations of negative air ions improves general health and acts as a normalizing agent on a number of physiological parameters including the central nervous system. The treatment consists of 2 or 3 series of 25 to 30 seances in intervals of 20 to 30 days. Fifty-five per cent of all asthmatics was entirely free of attacks over six months. The severity and frequency of attacks was reduced in 35 percent, no improvement was noted in 10 percent of patients exposed to negatively ionized air.
