It can be prescribed either as a prophylacticum for improvement of thermoregulation and stimulation of the protective immunobiological forces or for improvement of the general condition as a \" secondary prophylaxis \" during periods of remission. In this case the total effect embraces metabolism and a number of pertinent physiological factors. Because of the rare occurrence of hemorrhages in patients who underwent hydro-aeroionotherapy, it is probable that this method may be of value preoperatively in cardiac surgery and also during the post-operative period of convalescence.
