Because of wind-driven back-up in the Oder mouth, a simplified operational model of river discharge was additionally developed, based on water budget in a stream channel. Linking the Oder discharge model with the Baltic Sea model into a single system made it possible to simulate hydrographic conditions in the Szczecin Lagoon and in the Pomeranian Bay.
