Three of the aquatic invertebrate tests consisted of cyst-based toxicity tests (Artoxkit M with Artemia salina, Streptoxkit F with Streptocephalus proboscideus, and Rotoxkit F with Brachionus calyciflorus), and the Daphnia magna test. Results of simple linear regression analyses indicated that the rodent tests (rat and/or mouse) were better than the ecotoxicological tests for predicting acute oral lethal doses in man. However, it appears that the batteries of ecotoxicological tests resulting from the partial least squares method appear to be better than the rodent tests for predicting human oral lethal doses.","AbstractOtherLang":null,"BibLvlCode":"AS","StandardTitle":"The predictive potential of a battery of ecotoxicological tests for human acute toxicity, as evaluated with first 50 MEIC chemicals","OrigTitleLangCode":"en","OrigTitleLangCodeExtended":"eng","OrigTitleLangID":15,"DateLastModified":{"date":"2024-12-10 01:33:17.368041","timezone_type":1,"timezone":"+01:00"},"UserAccessRight":null,"UserAccID":null,"AuthorKeywords":"Acute toxicity; human oral lethal dose; cyst-based toxicity test; ecotoxicological test; rodent test; MEIC chemicals; battery of tests; PLS method","OtherDescriptors":"ACUTE TOXICITY, HUMAN ORAL LETHAL DOSE, CYST-BASED TOXICITY TEST, ECOTOXICOLOGICAL TEST, RODENT TEST, MEIC CHEMICALS, BATTERY OF TESTS, PLS METHOD\r\nLEAST-SQUARES REGRESSION, INVITRO CYTO-TOXICITY, HELA-CELLS, DRUG TOXICITY, TETRAHYMENA-THERMOPHILA, OCULAR IRRITATION, FRESH-WATER, TEST SYSTEM, VALIDITY, MODELS","Notes":null,"AnaPub":1993,"MonPub":null,"DateUpdate":"2019-05-23","DateCreate":"2001-06-11","SecASFANote":null,"ConfID":null,"PeerRev":1,"VlizCoreFlag":1,"WoScode":null,"VABBcode":null,"OpenAcc":0},"refs":null,"anarec":{"AnaID":10907,"PubliDate":1993,"Pagination":"330-349","XtraPublOfAnaID":null,"ISBN":null,"Volume":"21","Issue":"3","BRefMon":null,"BRefMonRR":null,"BRefXtra":null,"BRefXtraRR":null,"SerBRefID":45318,"SerRR":"ATLA.
