Spawning of two species of euphausiids was considered on the data of multi-years regular collections of plankton obtained from 1973 to 1977. The biotope of the northern Japan Sea corresponds to subarctic water structure. The conditions of this biotope was favorable for the spawning of the arctoboreal species as <i>Thysanoessa raschii</i> in the cold years and for the widely boreal species as <i>Euphausia pacifica</i> in the warm years. Atmospheric peculiarities (pressure anomalies and prevailing winds) were found which may favour the formation of warm and cold types of water temperature regime and accompany these types during summer. High activity of \"Okhotsk Sea cyclon\" forms the conditions of cold water regime in the northern Japan Sea.
