Deze extractie betekent niet enkel een bodemverlaging ter plaatse, maar deze extractie induceert ook morfologische veranderingen in een ruime omgeving. In deze bijdrage wordt de impact op de kustveiligheid begroot door middel van vergelijkende golfvoortplantingsberekeningen.
