Only 2 marine and 1 brackish water species are common. Another 8 species, 6 marine, 1 brackish water and 1 fresh water species, are rare and only incidentally found. Some of these species are possibly not even continuously present in the Delta area. In an isolated inland pool another brackish water species is present. Offshore, in the North Sea, another 5 species do occur.
