The hypothesis that the radially directed recordings were obtained from jumping animals receives further support, in that (1) the percentages of radially directed recordings and of jumping animals are nearly equal and (2) the distribution of the individual mean orientation directions of jumpers is significantly different from uniform, as was the distribution of radially directed recordings obtained earlier. Similar correspondences are found for the crawling individuals and the non-radially directed recordings. It is shown that the jumping animals are oriented in the local GMF but not after it has been compensated.
