The single point-source injection of all <i>L. kempi</i> hatchlings into the sea, and distributional records of where subadults assume an inshore benthic habitat, permits an hypothetical description of the relationship between oceanographic conditions and likely dispersal paths of post-hatchlings during the year or so they are \"lost\" at sea.
